Do stressful situations bring up unwanted responses? Are you trying to change a habit that chains you to a substance or unwanted behavior?

EFT may be a way to help resolve the emotional reactions and unwanted behaviors. It has a track record of over 20 years as a positive healing tool. Studies have been done that show it to be effective in eliminating emotional disturbances stemming from distressing, traumatic, or painful experiences.

There is more to it than merely “tapping in” affirmations!

The illustration at the right shows the main tapping points used in EFT. However, depending on the practitioner, there are a few other points that are sometimes used, such as the back of the neck, on the sternum, or on the top of the hand between the pinkie and ring fingers.

Each tapping point corresponds to an end point of one of the meridians, which is one of the reasons EFT is so effective.

For example, the point at the beginning of the eyebrow relates to the bladder meridian, the point at the side of the eye corresponds with a point on the gall bladder meridian; under the eye, the stomach meridian, etc.

As you tap you are literally talking to your meridian and nervous systems.

The technique usually brings results within a short amount of time (1 to 6 sessions), depending on the nature of the pain or distress.
